Tohoku, which means east-north of Japan, has five ken (prefectures)
such as Aomori-ken, Iwate-ken, Akita-ken, Yamagata-ken and
Fukushima-ken.

When the quake hit Tohoku, northern part of Japan main island, I was
working in my school in Ichinoseki, Iwate-ken.

Bookshelves fell down and broke the glass.

I have to clean up the mess.
My students suffered from the quake.
I will clean it up, and be prepared to receive them when they get
relief and time to learn English.
